The M1 Abrams Cannon is a tank turret that fires a 120 mm cannon shell. It has full 360 degree swivel range, and a limited pitch range. The cannon takes several seconds to reload between each shot, and does not support ripple firing.

Although stated to fire 120 mm shells, it uses the same ammunition box as the 105 mm M102 Howitzer for game purposes.

While this appears to the uninitiated to be rather strange, a glance through the cfg for each weapon will reveal that appearances can be deceptive. Almost every weapon in BDA that does not share ammo with another equal caliber weapon, has a unique cfg value applied to it, In the case of the Abrams the shell weighs ☀8.35e-3 t or 0.00835 t or 8.35 kg with a muzzle velocity of 1650ms and the aforementioned M102 Howitzer shells are 14 kg in weight and have muzzle speed of 494ms, this is of course neglecting the blast damage radius and heat damage difference. The Abrams is considerably more powerful than the M102 howitzer, which is just as it should be.
